Showcase
Since beginning the MAED program at Michigan State University, I have created and implemented many different lessons in my own classroom. My biggest goal this year was to use these lessons to get a better understanding for my students but also represent my students in my classroom. I want to foster a love for reading so that each student feels connected to the books that we read in class. I also used the resources below as a way to incorporate technology in an engaging way into my classroom. Through these different lessons, units, and activities, I was able to introduce new forms of literature and media in my classroom as well as new themes and ideas. I was able to do so through technology as well as standard targeted lessons.
Technology in the Classroom
This Tech Tool, Prodigy, was a big hit in my classroom this year. It engaged students as well as provided them with math practice and assessments. The link provides a synthesis of the tool and how to apply it.

The link above provides a synthesis about the tool, SumDog. This tech tool is another way to engage students in mathematic practices.

The button above provides a synthesis of using Quizlet in the classroom and how it benefited by students. I used this to assess what students knew but also as a review for my students.

The link above provides information of a re-purposed lesson. This technology lesson is a way to engage students in writing through visual representations.

The link above provides a resource for an interactive haiku lesson. This lesson is great for differentiation because you could take it step by step.

Literacy Focuses
The button above takes you to a Weebly page that was created for prize winning books that could be implemented in your classroom. Each book has information about the authors and resources to use when implementing the books in your classroom.

The button above is loaded with a LGBTQ literacy unit plan. Each day is filled with activities and media that focuses on the standard of finding theme in literature.

The button above analyzes one on one literacy building. The data points in DIBELS provided us with fluency and comprehension growth over time.
